Based in our public hospital, located close to major specialist and private hospitals, our diagnostic services include - CT, Ultrasound, MSK, NM, body imaging and MRI.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have a rare opportunity for a Trainee Sonographer position based at the Southwest Health Campus located in Bunbury, commencing in late 2023.

To be considered for this position, you must be enrolled as a Student Sonographer undertaking a post-graduate university degree in Diagnostic Medical ultrasound in an Australian based course, or to have completed the University of South Australia Professional Certificate in Sonographic Principles and Theory.

Ideally you will hold an undergraduate degree in an either Medical Imaging Technology or an associated medical / science related field.

You will be offered thorough on-site training within our hospital and private practices to learn from our highly regarded and skilled Sonographers and be part of our professional onsite team.

The Apex Ultrasound training program is structured, provides appropriate scanning and observation time, and will guide you through your post graduate degree over a 2 year period.

ABOUT YOU

  • Must hold relevant qualification in Medical Imaging as a diagnostic radiographer or in or associated medical field and be working towards qualification in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
  • Be committed to your own professional development, including embracing ongoing learning as part of professional development
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to demonstrate patient care, compassion and empathy
  • Be able to commit to a career with Apex Radiology
  • Work rights for Australia or valid Visa

This will be a trainee opportunity, subject to a training period and qualified commitment period based at our Apex practices.
