The Dental Board of Australia requires that all applicants for registration be able to demonstrate English language skills at IELTS academic level 7. This requirement and exemptions to it can be found in the 'English language registration standard' of the Registration Standards page on the Dental Board of Australia website.
Completion of the Diploma of Dental Technology or provision of evidence to verify equivalent status is required along with an equivalent of two years full time, post-graduation industry employment, with the ability to show currency as a dental technician.
Students must have completed at least two of the three Hepatitis B injections prior to the commencement of first semester.
Applicants will be required to attend an interview and perform a skills test (manual dexterity) to determine their suitability. Preference to progress into this stage of the application process will be given to applicants who meet the Entry Requirements above.
