Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (Certificate 3 Guarantee program)

Learn about a range of areas including the skills needed to comply with Australian and New Standards, workplace health and safety, infection control, sterilisation techniques and how to maintain a variety of instruments.

Correspondence is mostly self-paced but some direction is given to help keep students on track. Students should be aware of the official close of studies date for each unit they enrol into and pace their enrolments accordingly. Students will receive an individual training plan to help them track their progress.
We have three intakes in February, June and October.

Learners must have completed Year 10 or equivalent with a Sound Achievement in English.
Applicants must nominate a Workplace Supervisor to observe and record competencies within the workplace. The Workplace Supervisor must have a Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or higher relevant qualification;
Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds should be able to demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing and comprehension skills that wold be required to fulfil a job role;
Applicants will require a standard of basic computer literacy skills and must have access to a computer and the internet as learning resources, assessments and exams will be issued and conducted online through our Learning Management System.
Students must hold a current accredited First Aid Certificate (HLTFA311A) by close of study, or successfully complete the HLTFA311A First Aid Certificate through TAFE Queensland Brisbane or another private Registered Training Organisation.
