The Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance is designed for students who wish to become certified or who currently possess one of more allied health skill sets and wish to upgrade to obtain a full certificate qualification.
You must select 15 units for this qualification—four compulsory units and 11 elective units. You may choose to add your knowledge by completing additional allied health skill sets to enable you to work in a specific area. Skill sets are defined by workplace requirements in consultation with industry partners, and are guided by evidence-based holistic best practice models of health.

The qualification uses a blended delivery mode and will be delivered in three semesters
Each semester consists of training and assessment, in this time you will be required to:
• Complete online readings
• Complete online questions
• Complete the ‘on-the-job’ assessment
• Complete workbook assessment

Applicants need to be employed in the Health Care Industry a nursing assistant, personal carer or diversional therapist etc.
This qualification requires an advanced level of communication skills. Physical fitness will be required to be able to bear a significant amount of weight when transferring physically dependent clients.
There are seven pre-requisite units for this qualification which are covered in Semester 1.
A student who has completed a Certificate III in Aged Care may have met some of the pre-requisite requirements.
Students under 17 years of age must meet enrolment requirements as specified in the Education (General Provisions Act) 2006.
