The Certificate IV in Leisure and Health course will provide you with the skills to make a difference in the daily lives of the older members of our community.
Learn how to plan, implement and monitor leisure and health programs for clients with complex needs. Apply sociological concepts, the knowledge of human behaviour in leisure activity programs, and explore the attitudes and values required for employment in community and/or aged residential care.

Individuals wishing to gain a set of skills in allied health assistance (podiatry) can complement another health qualification. Skill sets such as these define industry need and are designed to build on a relevant qualification to enable the individual to work in a specific area.
A Certificate III in Aged Care is desirable.

School Leavers must have completed Year 10 or equivalent with a Sound Achievement in English, be
a minimum age of 18 years old and hold a current First Aid Certificate.
Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds who have learnt English since arriving in Australia must have completed a Certificate III (Level 3) in Spoken & Written English (CSWE). Applicants will be required to provide a certified copy with their application.
This qualification requires an advanced level of communication skills, including medical terminology. Physical fitness will be required to be able to bear a significant amount of weight when transferring physically dependent clients will be required.
