Management of Lower Leg Ulceration - 1 Day Workshop

Located at our state of the art learning facilities at Spring Hill, this workshop explores the pathophysiology underlying lower limb ulceration and explores assessment and management of these patients.

CPD hours:

• 14 total (8 – workshop; 6 – online module)

Learning Outcomes:

• Understand the pathophysiology of peripheral arterial disease
• Understand the pathophysiology of venous disease
• Recognise the components required when taking a history from a patient with lower limb ulceration
• Perform a lower limb vascular examination including ankle brachial pressure index
• Review the principles of ulcer assessment and management
• Understand the principles and evidence supporting compression therapy for venous leg ulcers
• Demonstrate the application of a range of different compression

All clinicians and professionals who are involved in wound management as part of their day-to-day practice such as General Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Community Pharmacists, Community Nurses, Registered & Enrolled Nurses and more.

Undergraduate students are also welcome and encouraged to attend and receive 10% off the cost of the course.
