The Master of Public Health will equip health professionals from a broad range of backgrounds with the knowledge and skills to address public health challenges. Students gain understanding of current global and environmental health issues, health policy, systems and economics, along with social, behavioural and cultural determinants of health.

Students are trained in skills such as the planning, implementation and evaluation of public health programs, health-promotion and disease-prevention strategies, advocacy, leadership and management, statistics and epidemiology, and analytical and communication skills.

This course also allows you to enter or exit with a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Public Health.

Entry requirements:
Completed qualification at AQF level 7 (bachelor degree) or above from an Australian University or an equivalent overseas higher education qualification and at least three year’s work experience.

Special Entry Requirements
Applicants without formal qualifications at AQF7 or above may be considered for entry to the Graduate Certificate of Public Health on the basis of a combination of formal (below AQF7) or non-formal qualifications and seven years of relevant experience in a health professional role. Applications will be assessed on a case by case basis. Successful completion of the Graduate Certificate will allow automatic entry to the Graduate Diploma or Master of Public Health with 100% credit.

This course can be delivered on campus and/or online allowing you the flexibility to study where and when you want, and can be completed in two years of full-time study – compared to the usual three or four years at university. Graduate and start earning sooner than your university counterparts. You can also complete this course in part-time study.

Partnering with you for the duration of your studies, the Success Coach is here to make sense of all of the learning experiences, including readiness for and securing of work integrated learning, placements, internships and opportunities in internal enterprises.  All of our coaches are industry professionals, which will give you that inside edge you’ll need to be successful in your chosen career.

Irrelevant of how you like to learn, our coaches are there for you.  Coaching can take place online, or on campus.  Our main priorities are to make sure that you are always well connected and motivated, that you are successfully completing your desired subjects, and that you gain valuable knowledge and experience through participation and engagement, whilst always aligning to your natural talents.
