WA has the second highest rate of death by suicide, 20 per cent higher than the national average.
Men aged 25 to 54 make up 75 per cent, or three of every four of those deaths.
Launching the Think Mental Health campaign, Mental Health minister Roger Cook said the aim was to help family and friends identify the early signs of
mental health issues among men.
"(We want to) make sure they're reaching out and saying it's okay to talk and it's okay to listen," the minister told AAP.
