FEATURED JOBS

Also on Friday, bookings opened for the recently approved Novavax COVID-19 vaccine with appointments at government clinics available from next Wednesday.

About 4000 doses of the vaccine will be distributed through three government centres while about 40 pharmacies and GPs will also offer the jab.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration granted provisional approval for Novavax in January, making it the first protein-based COVID-19 vaccine to receive regulatory approval in Australia.

The Novavax jab is available to anyone aged over 18.
