The Free-to-attend Nurses and Clinicians Event is returning to Australian Healthcare Week on the 27-28 March 2019 at the International Convention Centre, Sydney.
It’s no secret that everything that happens in healthcare affects nurses, from policy reform to emerging technologies and changing patient expectations.
With this in mind, The Nursing and Clinicians Event has been designed to offer nurses a two day course for personal and professional development.
Endorsed by the Australian College of Nursing (ACN) the Nurses and Clinicians Event will provide attendees with 11.5 CPD points and will feature presentations from 28 nursing thought leaders such as:
Adj. Prof. Kylie Ward FACN, Chief Executive Officer, Australian College of Nursing, who will reflect on the role nursing will have on both patient management and the nursing profession.
Jennifer Holmes, Program Manager Data & Informatics, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, who will explore how to make the most of nursing informatics to improve patient safety and outcomes
Virginia Boyd, Executive Director People & Culture, Albury Wodonga Health, who will share strategies on how to build and empower nursing leaders of the future
Juliet Graham, Nursing Director- Workforce, West Moreton Health who will share the hard and soft skills to be resilient in the workplace
Sonia Marshall, Executive Director of Nursing & Midwifery, South Western Sydney Local Health District who will share her team’s journey of implementing a five year road map to improve patient experience
